Women in Ministry
Women in Ministry
Discover our commitment to gender equality and the calling of women in ministry at Alabama Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. From our founding, we've championed women's leadership, featuring women in prominent roles across national and state councils, as moderators, and within our staff. Partner with us to connect with the national Baptist Women in Ministry group.
Throughout the year, we organize empowering events for women in ministry, such as retreats, fellowships, and conferences. Join us as we celebrate and support women's contributions to ministry and leadership.
Terri Byrd Fund For Women in Ministry
Former Coordinator, Terri Byrd's, exemplary leadership within Alabama CBF has served as a beacon of inspiration for countless women statewide. Recognized as a role model for navigating professional ministry with grace and excellence, Terri has personally mentored numerous young women, shaping their paths in significant ways. In recognition of Terri Byrd’s twelve years of leadership with Alabama CBF, in 2021 the Coordinating Council Alabama CBF established a fund dedicated to fostering opportunities for women ministers within our congregations. Baptist Women in Ministry Month of Advocacy
Join Alabama CBF as we stand in solidarity with Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM) during their Month of Advocacy in March, coinciding with Women’s History Month. As part of this initiative, churches and individuals alike are encouraged to participate in various forms of advocacy to affirm, value, and elevate women in ministry. Whether it's inviting a woman to preach or engaging in other advocacy actions, let's take the next step together in supporting and honoring the contributions of women in ministry within our Baptist community.
